De Bok Roijers Gasseling has been an official partner of the Erasmus Law Network since 2009. The network is a collaboration between the Erasmus School of Law, the Court of Rotterdam and a number of law firms - selected by the Erasmus University. Every year, a small number of students is chosen by the university to participate in the Togamaster ('Robe Master') programme. This provides specialist training during the students' final year of study, preparing them for a career in a 'robe profession'.

The Togamaster is different from most university law programmes, because it addresses theoretical knowledge, but focuses on practical skills required outside the university. Every year, one or two Togamaster students follow a student traineeship at De Bok Roijers Gasseling. This traineeship is regarded as a valuable introduction to professional life after law school. In the last few years, we have also organised an 'in-house' lecture for the Togamaster students, involving mock trials, with the aim of developing litigation skills.

Naturally, Togamaster students aren't the only ones able to participate in a student traineeship at De Bok Roijers Gasseling. Other students nearing graduation with an affinity for our areas of expertise, are also welcome to participate. Interested? Then refer to 'Application Process' for more details. In your letter, please state clearly that you are applying for a student traineeship. Shortly after we have received your application, we will notify you whether we are able to accept you as a student trainee.
